Peace to the Occupy Tacoma and Conversation Family. Here’s a request for support from Mr. Anthony Zaragoza.
Anthony, who is an instructor at Evergreen State College at the Olympia campus, has class called “Making Effective Change“
On March 12, he will be taking the class on a field trip to Tacoma to visit some sites that speak to that idea of Making Effective Change. He asked for some suggestions on sites to visit and would like some people to join with him and his class for a short discussion on Making Effective Change at Evergreen Tacoma Campus at 2pm on March 12th.
We suggested The Conversation and Occupy members as perfect for the short discussion, since that is what the Conversation and Occupy do discuss: How to make effective change. It was also suggested that Occupy Tacoma’s old Occupation Site was a good place to visit.
Anthony’s goal was to visit 3 sites before taking the class to Evergreen Tacoma to have the discussion at 2pm. We have schedule the visit for the Occupation Site at 1:00pm at 21st and Pacific Ave downtown Tacoma, AKA as “Occupation Park.”
So, to review: What we are asking of members of the Conversation and the Occupy Movement is to have as many people who could show up and support this class in their discussion on “Making Effective Change”.
Finally Anthony pointed out to me that since they don’t have a lot of time for this discussion they have one humble request: That we try to gear the conversation around solutions &mdash nuts and bolts Ideas for making effective change and not reviewing what the problems are. This is why we suggested the Conversation and the Occupy members because we feel that is what the Conversation and Occupy are about &mdash nuts and bolts idea to make effective change.
