The top 1 percent of income earners have more than doubled their income over the
last thirty years according to a “Congressional Budget Office”
    report.
The report was released just as concerns of the Occupy Wall Street movement were
beginning to enter the national political debate
According to the CBO, between 1979 and 2007 the incomes of the top 1% of
Americans grew by an average of 275%. During the same time period, the 60% of
Americans in the middle of the income scale saw their income rise by 40%. Since
1979 the average pre-tax income for the bottom 90% of households has decreased
by $900, while that of the top 1% increased by over $700,000, as federal
taxation became less progressive. From 1992-2007 the top 400 income
earners in the U.S. saw their income increase 392% and their average tax rate
    reduced by 37%.

We need a livestream schedule or announcements on the general website or forum, somewhere anyway so we can see when new content is scheduled? Are we getting close to something like that?

When someone does a show, can we play it back later at a scheduled time when we tell people it will be re-aired?

Maybe you already have something like that and I don’t see it?

I think you’d have to ask Aren about all that, mithreal. He basically runs the livestream, and would know about any scheduled shows. But yes, I think it’d be a good thing to add, and it would be easy to put a submenu item under LiveStream linking to the schedule.

Dawn, as far as I know we have at least one Aaron and an Aren. I don’t know who lost their phone or what your last sentence means. If Aaron (Aren?) sees your message here, I’m sure he’ll reply.

    • Dawn McKinney

Sorry Cheryl – that last sentence was my # and its Aaron Hill I am talking about. Thanks

Dawn, I’m not sure I’ve ever even met Aaron in person. However, if he doesn’t see your comment here, you can try emailing him or posting to our Facebook page. Good luck!

Thanks Cheryl- I just am worried because I haven’t heard from him (Aaron Hill) he helps with the live stream someimes and helps with security. Its not like him not to keep in touch with me.

Dawn, I apologize, but I haven’t even been to that area of town in days. I’m almost shackled to my computer, trying to respond to online OT requests, return calls to people whose line is then busy, etc. Have you posted to the FB page? Somebody has got to know him, and if they see a post from somebody who’s worried, they’ll most likely let him know.

Great report on Rachel Maddow tonite re: new tactics of the Occupy Movement…

Occupy houses that are about to be foreclosed on and stop it…

Also I think the workers at Cooper Tires should be occupying the plant as the auto workers did in the 1930′s. This is just like the depression so why not use the same tactics…it worked….

When an employer closes down to move to China the workers need to occupy it…the law needs to be changed to offer the workers the right to buy the business on very reasonable terms. If we had a state banks such things could be done. Washington had a great tradition of worker co-ops in the lumber industry until the 1970′s and monopoly capital moved in to buy up all the raw logs.

Your typing on a computer and have access to the internet, you probably ate today,
and you think “This is just like the depression”.

Maybe you could speak with my parents, or someone else who lived through that period in our history. It was NOTHING like what you are experiencing. The people alive in America today, don’t have the slightest chance of surviving something like that with the same results. Its all about the government tit for today’s soft, whiner Americans.

The Depression is an example of Capitalism failing the Governments when trying to regulate monopolys, cooperating together, to control prices/competition. The newly formed Fed Reserve was the rich’s answer to all of TR’s giant corporation busting, more Wall St. control under the illusion of Government control. The same, or much like today, except Germany is holding the World Economy together, not paying off War debt. Same ol’ propaganda to foster bigger profits though especially big ticket items skimmed off the public revenue of the commons for useless war toys. Create demand, bring down supply side costs irregardless of sovereign nation tarriffs in the name of free trade.
