Needed at Occupation Park

How to use this page: This is the most current list of needs available. Occupiers are asked to review it often, and if any changes are required — items should be added, changed, or removed — please submit that info using the comment form at the bottom of the page. Admins will delete each comment as changes are incorporated into the master list. Currently, anybody is free to submit a comment at any time, but if conditions warrant, we are able to switch to a moderated, login-required format. another suggestion for addition to the needs list:
as we have trouble keeping the disposable dishes, i have found an inexpensive alternative.
the coleman 25 piece enamelware dining set is about $25 and will provide every occupier with a bowl, cup, plate, fork, knife, and spoon.

Are there only 4 occupiers? Because that’s how many people this set would equip. I’m sure there are more than 4, though.

Plus, do we really want to encourage Walmart shopping? Isn’t there a local alternative?

What size are the water jugs? Bottled water is an ok idea, but I know you have issues with people picking up trash…would you have the ability to be recycling those? If I lived closer I’d like to do more of the little errands, but I’m about 50 min from the park. I plan on bringing some of the requested needs soon though. Stay strong! Thanks so much for your efforts. :)

I everyone…after seeing the pile of laundry that needs done, it’s all I could think about practically on my way home. I am going to try to pull in a bunch of volunteers if I can and see if I can get each person to take a bag. I will pick them up in my truck if it works out and distribute/recollect and return. Also, Chris (my husband) and I were talking about all that bread…I am going to try to see if we can round up bins too…some should probably go to a shelteror possibly food bank, but anything like that should never be left in bags on the ground…a great target for rats. (and you don’t want to deal with that) I’ll let you know if my plan comes together.

I’ve got three ‘volunteers’ so far for the laundry…plus me (Jo from Occupy Brem too)..if I don’t head down tomorrow…I’ll pick it up Sunday. I’ll let you know how much I can take once I figure out how many can help with it.
